Collier Road Roundabout

GMF provided a wide scope of construction works for introduction of the Collier Rd Roundabout. Works included the demolition and disposal of all kerbing, concrete, pavement base, asphalt and landscaping. GMF successfully completed construction works across four operational stages, consisting of profiling the existing road and completing all works alongside high volume traffic. Significant challenges were managed for the completion of this project including stakeholder management and the coordination of local service authorities.

• 2,000m² pavement construction
• 1,500m² profiling and pavement base removal
• 800m² brick paving and footpath
• Associated drainage and structures
• 700 metres kerbing works completed by GMF’s subsidiary company METRO Kerbing & Concrete

PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS

Critical stakeholder management was maintained for the successful running of the project, ensuring full access was provided to the public along Collier Rd and zero traffic and safety incidents occurred. GMF was able to mitigate difficulties through the separation of the job into four stages of operations. Our management team successfully coordinated stakeholder relations and local authority requirements for the duration of the project.
