John Forrest Footpath Upgrades

GMF was engaged by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) to upgrade the existing footpath which is the beginning of many walking trails throughout the scenic John Forrest National Park. The upgrades include minor drainage work as well as importing gravel before priming the surface and asphalting.

PROJECT STATS

  • 1,000m² new pavement, prime and asphalt
  • New drainage to maintain water flow into the weir
  • New shoulder and access track installed
  • 4 concrete footing bridge abutments installed

PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS

GMF Civil managed the project ensuring that pedestrian (and wildlife) traffic still has access to the beautiful walks that the Park has to offer. We  worked safely in an environment with tricky access to stay within time constraints before the busy Easter period influx of visitors to the Park.
